Affiliated Engineers (AEI), a leading engineering firm specializing in complex building systems, upgraded its downtown Chicago office with a ceiling installation of Sabin BLOCK pendants.
Designed by Grant Kightlinger of Pivotal Lighting Design—AEI’s in-house lighting studio—this composition integrates lit and unlit BLOCK fixtures to create a visually striking ceiling that highlights his design expertise. Diffuse fixtures provide soft, ambient illumination with a 90 CRI, while unlit fixtures add depth and texture. With an NRC rating of 0.85+, the installation reduces noise and improves comfort for meetings, collaboration, and daily work.
